Department of Defense

  • JGMS provided natural resources, environmental engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), master planning, and environmental planning technical expertise to the Alabama Army National Guard (ALARNG) environmental program. We have also provided environmental management for the construction of the Charleroi Lock and Dam New River Chamber Preparatory Contract and conducted a historic inventory assessment in support of a Veteran Affairs Medical Center.

Department of the Interior

  • JGMS conducted studies for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah State Office, focusing on the threatened Jones Cycladenia in Utah to assess its habitat requirements, extent, and potential threats under the Endangered Species Act. The project identified new occurrences of the species through two phases, successfully delivering the final report and habitat model to the BLM within the allocated budget and schedule. Additionally, JGMS performed Class III cultural resource inventories for two projects: one covered a 400-acre inventory in the Sage Grouse habitat treatment area in Mesa County, while the other encompassed approximately 155 acres in the Panorama Colorado area for a vegetation reduction project managed by the Colorado River Valley Field Office (CRVFO). Both inventories adhered to established guidelines, meeting the requirements of environmental and preservation acts, and providing essential data for decision-making.

  • JGMS conducted a reconnaissance level Environmental Site Assessment for the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) in support of the Pojoaque Basin Regional Water System (RWS) construction project in Santa Fe County, NM. The RWS area of Potential Impact encompasses 23,770 acres mainly owned by 4 Pueblos with privately-owned property near the boundaries.

Department of Agriculture

  • JGMS completed 23 different task orders for the United States Forest Service (USFS) Rocky Mountain Region 2. JGMS prepared 10 Environmental Assessments (EAs) for 3 National Forests throughout north central Colorado covering 6 million acres. Our projects also included multiple inventories for cultural resources, a stream realignment design project, large scale watershed condition assessments, biological assessments, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geologic inventories, and conveyance analysis.
